Folly Beach County Park offers visitors access to some 4,000 feet of oceanfront sandy beaches and is a common destination for local sufers. Complete with boardwalks, beach chair rentals and seasonally available lifeguards, the beach is one of the most visited in the region. The beach, located on Folly Island, is about 13 miles by car south of downtown Charleston.
Open daily Nov - Mar: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Apr and Labor Day - Oct: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; May - Labor Day: 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
